Provides free breast and cervical cancer screening exams to qualifying women. Health navigators help clients access additional tests including:
- Mammograms
- Pap tests
- HPV tests
- Follow-up testing
You can do either, however, we recommend (but do not require) that you take the class first. Your one-on-one appointment will be more useful if you have been exposed to the mortgage terminology and concepts that we use in advisement sessions.
No. HomesFund is a HUD approved housing counseling agency. Our inquiry into your credit will be noted on the report, but it will NOT affect your credit score, as we are coded with the credit reporting agency as a counseling agency.
It depends on the program. For HomesFund loan programs, the certificate is valid for 2 years. For other programs such as USDA Direct and CHFA, the certificate is valid for 1 year.

<p>For breast services, individuals must be aged 40 - 65 years and one of the following:</p><ul><li>A woman</li><li>A transgender woman who has taken or is taking hormones related to gender transition</li><li>A transgender man who has not had a bilateral mastectomy</li><li>A nonbinary individual</li></ul><p>For cervical services, individuals must be aged 21 - 65 years and have a cervix.</p><p><br></p><p>For heart exams, individuals must be aged 35 - 65 years and meet all other eligibility requirements for breast or cervical services.</p><p><br></p><p>Additional eligibility requirements may apply.</p>
